Privacy Policy

Effective 13 October 2026

The short version.

Your check-ins live on your own device. We don't make you create an account, we don't track you, we show no ads, and we never sell your data. The only time your words leave your device is when you ask Dayku for an AI reflection — and even then they're used only to write that reflection, never to train AI.

This policy explains how Dayku (the "app," available on the App Store and as a web app at getdayku.com) handles your information. Dayku is published by Fortescue Press Ltd ("we," "us"). By using Dayku you agree to this policy.

What we collect

Dayku is built to keep as little as possible, and to keep it on your device.

AI reflections

Some features generate a short reflection or summary from what you've written. When you use one of these, the relevant text is sent over a secure connection to our service and on to our AI provider, Anthropic, which generates the response and sends it back.

Anthropic processes this text as a data processor under its own terms; it is not used to train its models. If you never use an AI feature, your words never leave your device.

Reminders

If you turn on reminders, the App Store app schedules them entirely on your device — nothing about your reminders is sent to us. (In the web version only, delivering browser notifications requires us to store your reminder settings and first name on our server so the reminder can be sent; the app version does not.)

What we never do

Your control over your data

Children

Dayku is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Security

Your data stays primarily on your own device, protected by your device's own security. Where information travels to provide a feature (such as an AI reflection), it is sent over encrypted connections.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and post the new version here. Significant changes will be made clear.
